Tigers win under new coach Steve Bieser
Missouri women's basketball notched its first win under new head coach Steve Bieser with a 93-43 victory over Incarnate Word on Monday at Mizzou Arena.
Balanced attack leads Mizzou
The Tigers were led by Aijha Blackwell who recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Nine different players scored for Missouri as they shot 52.6% from the field.
Shut-down defense
Mizzou's defense swarmed the Cardinals, holding them to 28.6% shooting and forcing 20 turnovers. The Tigers also dominated the glass, outrebounding Incarnate Word 41-25.
Looking ahead
Missouri will next face Austin Peay on Thursday at Mizzou Arena before traveling to the Bahamas for the Pink Flamingo Championship.
